Alexander Johanning: Millersville University – Integrated Studies (Lucy Givnish Scholarship Award)

Alexander Johanning is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Lucy Givnish Scholarship Award! This fall, he will begin his freshman year at Millersville University – Integrated Studies, where he plans to study music production/entertainment. 

Alex has a passion for music and helping others. His goals include working in the music industry, growing as a person each day by staying positive, and volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse to help tutor young individuals with Down syndrome in literacy skills. He is also a singer-songwriter who creates original songs and albums, and he loves expressing himself through music and dance.

Alex has been involved in school musicals, was a football team manager, and ran track and field. He enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, dancing on TikTok, and celebrating life’s big and small wins. One of his proudest moments was being part of a team that earned 2nd place in the state.

This summer, Alex was proud to work his first job as a Guest Experience Ambassador Agent at Dutch Wonderland. He loves his family and his two dogs.
