Addie Trout: University of Oklahoma Sooner Works (Jack Kotal Scholarship Award)

Addie Trout is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Jack Kotal Scholarship Award! This fall, she will begin her freshman year in the University of Oklahoma Sooner Works program, where she plans to study Education. Addie is passionate about helping others learn and hopes to become a teacher’s assistant in the future. She also looks forward to working at “My Dawg House” at Edmond Memorial High School.
Addie is a proud cheerleader and swimmer who is always up for a challenge. One of her biggest accomplishments is being selected to compete in the Special Olympics World Games in 2026, and she couldn’t be more excited to represent her community on the world stage.
She also has big dreams at OU and hopes to become the first person with Down syndrome to be a Ruf Nek Lil Sis.
With her determination, enthusiasm, and heart for others, Addie is blazing her own trail and inspiring everyone around her.
