Trista Peterson: University of Central Missouri – THRIVE
2024
Trista is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Katharine Blanch Scholarship Award. This fall, she begins her sophomore year in the THRIVE program at the University of Central Missouri, where she is studying independent living skills. She is also taking courses toward her goal of working as an assistant in a veterinary clinic someday.
Trista loved meeting new people in her first year at UCM. She was proud to be able to make decisions on her own and learn how to live away from home in the dorm. In her free time, she loves participating in Special Olympics, listening to music, baking, and helping others.
