Tessa Bailey: Macomb Community College

Tessa is a four-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Jane Standal Scholarship Award. She returns to Macomb Community College this fall, where she is just six classes away from earning her Associate’s of Applied Science degree in culinary arts. Her future plans include working as a chef and someday opening her own restaurant.

In her free time, Tessa enjoys traveling, reading, talking with her friends and spending time with her boyfriend, Matthew, a former Rockin’ Recipient whom she met through Ruby’s Rainbow. She is proud of herself for maintaining a 4.0 GPA at Macomb and making the Dean’s list again this year, and she has loved getting to make friends and learn many different cooking techniques in college. She recently returned from an incredible culinary study-abroad trip, where she traveled to Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland.
