Claire Kemp – Edgewood College Cutting Edge (Keep on Dreaming Scholarship Award)

Claire is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Keep on Dreaming Scholarship Award. This fall she begins her first year in the Cutting Edge program at Edgewood College, where she plans to study childcare. Her post-graduation goals are to live independently and work in a daycare center or PreK program.

Claire loves all things High School Musical, and she likes riding a tandem bike around town with her mom. She is very proud to have been on the dance team for three years in high school, where she was fully included in all classes for her junior and senior years (when her high school launched its full-inclusion program). Claire was a great representative for the school and for students with special needs, and is a true advocate for Down syndrome. She is an alter server at her church, she volunteers in her community, and she is kind to everyone she meets.
