Avery Anderson – University of Oklahoma Sooner Works (Yani Garcia Jordan Scholarship Award)

Avery is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Yani Garcia Jordan Scholarship Award. This fall she begins her junior year in the Sooner Works program at the University of Oklahoma, where she is studying acting. After graduation, she hopes to work as an actress and live independently.
Avery’s hobbies include writing music and singing. She is very proud to have gotten to represent Sooner Works and speak on panels at conferences. She is looking forward to her junior year, and can’t wait to be a mentor and leader for freshman and anyone else she can help.
