Marie Tisdale – Vanderbilt University Next Steps (Josie Hope Rendon Scholarship Award)

Marie is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Josie Hope Rendon Scholarship Award. She is excited to be a Next Steps student at Vanderbilt University this fall, where she plans to pursue her passions for business, art, food and hospitality.

Marie works in hospitality at a luxury resort. She dreams of opening a gluten-free bakery, and continues to run a greeting card business, JessamineStudios.com. She is an avid hiker in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and she loves music concerts. She volunteers in her community by supporting homeless ministries, running a concession stand for a high school sports team, and hosting events for children with disabilities.
