Nathan Bach – Syracuse University InclusiveU (Kate the Great and the Wiedefeld Family Scholarship Award)

Nathan is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Kate the Great and the Wiedefeld Family Scholarship Award. This fall he will begin his third year in the InclusiveU program at Syracuse University. He lived in a dorm on campus until he began doing virtual learning in March 2020, and is very excited to return to school in person this fall.

Nathan volunteers regularly with Meals on Wheels, his local Down Syndrome Association, and the local nature center. He loves staying fit through swimming and yoga, and talking with his siblings and friends on his iPad. He describes himself as someone who likes helping others and being around people. His goals are to finish college, get a job and an apartment, and “keep going and learning.”

We think those are great goals, Nathan! You rock!
