Leah Langer – Centralia Community College (Maci Rae Carter Scholarship Award)

Leah is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Maci Rae Carter Scholarship Award. She will be attending Centralia Community College this fall, where she plans to take courses in many areas including culinary arts, American Sign Language, film, and the medical field. She is interested in all of those areas and would like to pursue a career in one or more of them.

Leah was a varsity football cheerleader for three years in high school. She was also active in her high school’s FFA chapter, including serving as an officer for two years. She was in choir and drama club, and was also an active member of the girls’ bowling team and the American Sign Language club.

Leah describes herself as hardworking and dependable. We see those qualities in you, Leah—and they will serve you well in college! You rock!
