Jeremiah Whitehead – Vanderbilt University Next Steps (Nella Hampton Scholarship Award)

Jeremiah is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Nella Hampton Scholarship Award. He can’t wait to attend the Next Steps program at Vanderbilt University this fall. He loves music, learning and meeting new people, and he especially loves helping others. He has been active as a Boy Scout and an Eagle Scout, and has done lots of volunteer projects with these groups.
Jeremiah loves singing in his church choir, and he wants to become a pastor someday so he can preach God’s word. His teachers and mentors describe him as loving and full of positive energy, “with an eagerness to learn and grow spiritually.” These are wonderful qualities in you, Jeremiah! We believe in you—you rock!
