Hazlee Gaddie – Indiana University Southeast (Nora Fadley Scholarship Award)

Hazlee is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Nora Fadley Scholarship Award. This fall, she will be a junior at Indiana University Southeast, and is on track to graduate in Fall 2022 with her Bachelor’s degree in Business. Her major is in Accounting, with a minor in Communications. She also works full-time at Chick-fil-A, and is involved in Campus Life and CSF at IUS.

Hazlee’s professors and mentors describe her as “a champion for the underdog” and “a tireless cheerleader” for her friends and classmates. Hazlee herself says, “I love the Ruby’s Rainbow family as my dreams are coming true!” Her advice for other students with Down syndrome wanting to attend college is to go for it: “Do not let Down syndrome stop you from attending college, because you are unique.” We think you are unique, inspiring and incredible, Hazlee—you rock, and we are so proud of you!
