Hallie McCollum – University of Georgia Destination DAWGS (Reynolds Family Scholarship Award)

Hallie is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Reynolds Family Scholarship Award. She is very excited to attend the University of Georgia’s Destination DAWGS program this fall, where she plans to take music classes and explore her love of theater. Her goal for her second year of college is to get an internship as an assistant music teacher or assistant musical therapist, so she can go on to a career in a related field.

Hallie loves singing and choreography, and was active in chorus and musical theater throughout high school. This summer, she rocked it onstage as Cousin It in a local community theater production of The Addams Family.

Hallie has also been active in Special Olympics and was awarded Georgia Special Olympics Statewide Athlete of the Month in December 2020. She has won numerous Special Olympics medals in bowling, swimming and rhythmic gymnastics. She was also a Top-10 finalist in the Miss Legend pageant at her high school.
