Will Ellerman – University of Arkansas EMPOWER (Pride Socks Scholarship Award)

Will is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Pride Socks Scholarship Award recipient. This fall he will enter the EMPOWER program at the University of Arkansas. In high school, he was active in choir and Special Olympics. He has worked for the past three summers at a day camp for children with special needs. His goal is to study business in college so he can start a business someday producing clothing for people with Down syndrome, so they can be more confident.

Will’s values include being kind and helpful, and helping others find joy. He says, “I want to help people be brave and get jobs and work hard.” His teachers and mentors describe him as someone who is kind and always ready to help others. We see all of these qualities in you, Will! We know they’ll serve you in college and beyond!
