Rachel Mast – Missouri State University Bear POWER (Milan Rossato Scholarship Award)

Rachel is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Milan Rossato Scholarship Award recipient. This fall, she will begin her junior year in the Bear POWER program at Missouri State University, where she is taking courses in acting and hospitality. She is active in Student Government on campus along with Best Buddies and Special Olympics Volleyball. She is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops about disability rights issues, and in 2019, she received the Laura Lee Self-Advocacy Leadership Award at the State of the Art Conference. She has also worked as a hostess at Olive Garden for the past two years.

Rachel says, “I am proud to be a voice and example for others with Down syndrome. It makes my heart happy.” We are so proud to have you as part of the Ruby’s Rainbow family, Rachel! Keep on rockin’ it at MSU!
