Nicholas McGee – Gwynedd Mercy University (Gabriela Sherman Scholarship Award)

Nicholas is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Gabriela Sherman Scholarship Award recipient. He attends Gwynedd Mercy University, where he is the first Integrated Studies student. He is taking courses in business and music and is very excited to start living on campus this fall. In high school, he was on the swim team and served as swim team manager. He was also a member of his school’s “Brew Crew,” serving hot and cold drinks every morning to students, teachers and staff. He won homecoming king his senior year, and the video of him being crowned went viral, gaining millions of views.

Nicholas loves attending sporting events, especially Eagles games, and also loves Broadway shows along with anything and everything Disney. His goal is to be the first student with Down syndrome to graduate from Gwynedd Mercy, and then to attend Disney University for a year. We think you rock, Nicholas! We believe in you!
