Molly Carter – University of Tennessee–Knoxville FUTURE Program (Sailinthropic Scholarship Award)

Molly is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Sailinthropic Scholarship Award recipient. This fall she is heading into her third year in the University of Tennessee–Knoxville’s FUTURE program. She has served as Assistant Communications Director for the Student Government Association at UTK and is active in Best Buddies and YoungLife. Along with completing her courses, she has held an internship at the campus Early Learning Center and also worked part-time at a local frozen yogurt shop.
Molly is a self-advocate who regularly advocates for college students with intellectual disabilities, and has presented at a conference about how student governments can support students with ID. Her teachers and mentors describe her as someone with a positive attitude who inspires others. About herself, Molly says, “I can do anything.” We see these qualities in you, Molly, and we believe in you! Keep on rockin’ it at UTK!
