Kayla McKeon – Onondaga Community College (Twinkle Twins Scholarship Award)

Kayla is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Twinkle Twins Scholarship Award recipient. She attends Onondaga Community College, where she is working toward her Associate’s degree in General Studies, and also attends an acting workshop at Syracuse University. Kayla has been a lobbyist for the National Down Syndrome Society since 2017; she is the first registered lobbyist with Down syndrome. She has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Onondaga Community College Distinctive Merit Award. Her long-term goal is to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

Kayla’s teachers report that she is a hard worker who is always one of the first students to complete assignments for class. Kayla says she is honored to be a Rockin’ Recipient. We are so honored to have you as part of the Ruby’s Rainbow family, Kayla! Keep on rockin’ it at OCC!
