Katie Beck – Clemson University ClemsonLIFE (Briscoe Family Scholarship Award)

Katie is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Briscoe Family Scholarship Award recipient. She will be attending the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University this fall. Her goals include becoming a teacher, living independently and getting married someday. In high school, she ran track, was active in Band of Buddies, and received an Academic Achievement Award for U.S. History. She was also selected to play Special Olympics soccer with Team South Carolina in 2018, and helped her team win the silver medal.

Katie describes herself as a hard worker who never gives up, and believes in practicing in order to improve. She credits her family with supporting her and always pushing her to be the best she can be. We think you rock, Katie – we believe in you!
