Jean Hauff – Duquesne University

Jean will be attending Duquesne University, where she is excited to explore her interests in music, animals, gardening and teaching. She has audited community college classes in veterinary science and agricultural studies, and hopes to have a career in fashion someday. She also values community service, and has extensive volunteer experience with local farms and from being a Girl Scout.

Jean is a self-advocate who has spoken with business groups about the importance of hiring employees with disabilities, and has testified before the Minnesota legislature about revising guardianship laws and expanding college programs for students with intellectual disabilities. She is described by her teachers and mentors as kind, gentle and inspiring, with a strong work ethic. We are so proud of you, Jean! Keep on rockin’ it this fall!
