Kendall Montgomery – Clemson University ClemsonLIFE (Zoey Fierce Scholarship Award)
2019
Kendall Montgomery is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Zoey Fierce Scholarship Award recipient, and she is entering her second year in the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University. In high school, she was president of the Friends Club, which promoted friendships between students with disabilities and the broader community, and she was awarded the Exceptional Knight Award by her school principal for demonstrating outstanding community service. She is active in her local Down Syndrome Association and is a self-advocate counselor at Camp Horizon.
At Clemson this past year, Kendall was the manager of the women’s rowing team, and she loved tailgating and attending football games. She lives in an apartment with roommates and an Independent Living Assistant. She loves cooking with her roommates, doing yoga, and singing, playing guitar and listening to music. We think you rock, Kendall!
