Brock Chappelear – Clemson University ClemsonLIFE Program

Brock is entering his first year at Clemson University in the ClemsonLIFE program. He loves inspiring others with his smiles, hugs, sense of humor and happy outlook. He often visits relatives in assisted living facilities and “lights the place up,” giving everyone he encounters a pat on the back. He’s always had plenty of charisma: He was the sidelines motivator for his high school football team and was named as having the “Most School Spirit” in his yearbook.

Brock also has plenty of drive. He is so determined to go to college that he’s been selling socks to help his family pay for tuition. In high school, he played drums with the marching band, and he helped with the snack cart every morning. He works once a week at a thrift store and plays baseball and basketball with three different teams. In his scholarship application, he shared with us that “I get the crowd going when I shoot!”
