Brendan Balmes – University of Northern Colorado GOAL Program
2018
Brendan is entering his second year in the GOAL Program at the University of Northern Colorado, where he is working toward his goal of working someday in a business such as a rec center, day program, brewery or grocery store. He is already a hard worker, and currently works in the UNC dining hall as well as volunteering at the day program he attended before college.
Also before college, Brendan worked for six years as a courtesy clerk for Safeway Stores, where he earned the store’s Five-Year Service award. He is also a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, and is an active member of the Rugby Club at UNC. In high school, he won the John Lynch Student-Athlete award for Denver-area students as well as the Three-Sport Participation award.
Keep on rockin’ it, Brendan! We are so proud of you!
