Caroline Dempsey – Georgia State University IDEAL

Caroline is glad to be going to the Georgia State University IDEAL program. She likes art, design and music and would be interested in learning about film. She hopes to graduated and gain employment in the creative arts industry. She is good with technology and hope to use this knowledge to further her skills in design.
Caroline is an amazing self advocate who actively advocates at the Georgia Capital for policy issues focused on employment and post-secondary education. In addition she is very involved in Young Life and volunteers with the YMCA, Meals and More, and the Chieftan Museum. She also won the inaugural art competition for the National Down Syndrome Society.
As Ryan Johnson of Georgia Microboards Assocaition said, “ Caroline is working with me as an intern studying the art from of photography – a skill she shows great promise in and hopes to continue to improve as she begins her studies. This program is a perfect setting for someone like Caroline who is interested in digital expression and creativity.”
