Anthony is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Brett Boyer Foundation Scholarship Award. This fall he will begin attending the LIFE program at Coastal Carolina University, where he hopes to develop skills that will help him reach his goal of starting either a restaurant or a party-planning business someday.
Anthony serves at his church as Altar Server and enjoys being part of Young Life. In high school, he loved being manager of the basketball team and breakdancing on the sidelines during time-outs at games. In his senior year, he was voted “Most Likely to Make People Happy.”
Anthony loves singing and playing guitar, and he plays in a band with several friends. A highlight of his summer was getting to meet one of his heroes, country star Luke Bryan, on a Zoom call. Luke was the first to tell Anthony he had been awarded a Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship! Anthony says, “This extra chromosome rocks! Can’t believe Ruby’s Rainbow made it possible for me to meet Luke Bryan over Zoom!” We were so proud to make that connection for you, Anthony—you rock!
