Taylor Babilonia is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Rowan Eichler Scholarship Award recipient and will be attending George Mason University as a student in the Mason LIFE program. In high school, she was active in basketball and cheerleading as well as Special Olympics, and she logged over 200 hours of volunteer work with the St. Lucy’s Food Bank. She also held jobs at TJ Maxx and two local restaurants.
Taylor loves listening and singing along in Spanish to Selena Quintanilla, baking (especially Rice Krispy treats), dancing, drawing, painting and FaceTiming with friends. She plans to work on her independent living skills in college, including independent transportation and self-advocacy. She says, “I am capable of anything.” We believe in you, Taylor — keep on rockin’ it at GMU!
