Watch out Class of 2032!!!
October 3, 2019
What’s the ultimate goal in life? For us, it’s being able to grow, learn, chase dreams, find joy and happiness in the little things…which tends to make the BIG things a lot more fun Of course education is important too, but mainly I just want BOTH my girls to feel like they are valued, loved and able to contribute to society in meaningful ways. That’s not too much to ask, is it?
I think for a lot of people going to college is that next step toward chasing those dreams, living an independent life and finding out who they want to be…and it is no different for someone with Down syndrome. If Ruby and Nella choose to go to college (and of course be roomies ) I can only imagine how that feeling of accomplishment on graduation day will give them that pop of confidence to go out and live a more independent life. Whatever is in cards for these lil’ ladies I know they will continue to rock this beautiful life they were given
