Don’t we all have some sort of picture like this tucked away in yearbook or on your mom’s mantel? My hair-do may have looked a teeny bit different than all these beautiful ladies and involved bangs so high and stiff they could have taken taken an eye out, but man did I love me some team sports. And you really do learn so much from being a team player. It truly is a great way to stay in shape, make new friends, learn discipline, and learn how to win…and lose gracefully. If there are not many options at your school, I think Unified Sports through the Special Olympics is a great program that is “Promoting Social Inclusion Through Sport.” It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

I believe being a part of something is such an amazing feeling and so motivating. Who wants to be the guy who doesn’t show up?! Not me! (ok maybe I was late a few times…but hey, I had those bangs to finish up)
