Down Syndrome Awareness Month — Sabine: The Confident One

From the very beginning, Sabine and her family have been such an inspiration to me. When Ruby was born, they were our lifeline. Watching Sabine grow with so much confidence in who she is and what she dreams of has encouraged me in my own journey as a mom. Her mom reminds me how important it is to strike that balance between my own dreams for Ruby and the dreams Ruby has for herself. That perspective has stuck with me in such a powerful way.
I can actually see Sabine getting that part-time job at a café that she dreams of, saving up money to travel the world, and one day becoming a travel blogger so she can share her adventures. She believes in herself and her dreams with such joy, and it is contagious.
She is paving her own path and reminding me daily to let my own rockin’ kiddo do the same!

I want to be a travel blogger to share with everyone

Kind

Rice and noodles

I love my teachers and friends.

I like to dance a lot, to read, and playing video games.

Singing makes my heart the happiest.

Every time when I’m doing something I don’t give up.

I tell them that dreaming big can be useful in the future.
