Down Syndrome Awareness Month — Paige: The Communicator

“When you are learning, you are thriving. And when I’m thriving, I feel good.” Paige couldn’t have said it better!! ❤️

And she is THRIVING !!!! She’s finding independence, making friends, and being part of the community. Paige has always been a strong self-advocate and communicator, something her mom encouraged early on by teaching her to be “a problem solver, not a problem maker.” That advice stuck, and now she’s using it every day as she chases her dream of becoming a florist through her floral design classes and hopefully starting her own business one day, Paige’s Petals ❤️ (I LOVE that name…don’t you???!!!)

The Communicator:
Paige is such an amazing commutator and is very good at sharing her passions and her dreams. You can tell she is a very wise soul and everything she says is well thought out, meaningful and said with intention. ❤️

I am now attending college at Texas A&M

❤️ What was your biggest dream when you were little?
To be popular and famous

❤️ What is your biggest dream now?
I want to live on my own and run a business or a company someday.

❤️ What is your favorite song to dance to?
I would say dancing queen by ABBA  and eye of the tiger by Survivor

❤️ If you could describe yourself with ONE WORD what would it be?
Courageous

❤️ What do you or did you love most about college?
I love to make good memories by making new friends on campus or to meet anyone.

❤️ What is your favorite thing or quality about yourself that you love the most?
My favorite quality to have is when I smile at someone, someone will smile back at me and it makes me feel happy.

❤️ What makes your heart the happiest?
I would say being close with God and inspiring other people who needed help with anything and learning how God became to be, and that makes me really emotionally happy.

❤️ What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of my mom for getting me this far to be where I am now.

❤️ How do you inspire others to keep dreaming big?
I would say never give up, always following your heart wherever it will lead and Stay Strong because you are worth it. And I would encourage everyone to do the same thing!
