Down Syndrome Awareness Month – Abby: The Driven One

October 15, 2025

MOM: “Well, we want her to go to college.” SCHOOL: “Well, she’s in KINDERGARTEN.” MOM (AGAIN ❤️😁): “We want her to have a life of her choosing.”

From the time she was in kindergarten, Abby’s mom was already telling her teachers that Abby was going to college. And guess what?! SHE DID IT!! ❤️ Dreaming big and casting that vision for her at a young age helped her get there!!

Abby graduated from Northeastern State University and loved every second of being part of her sorority and building lifelong friendships!! ❤️

“It’s just important to never give up! DREAMS ARE THERE FOR A REASON!! People with disabilities are here to stay.” ❤️

The Driven One:

Abigail is very driven and knows what she wants out of life!  She also has the biggest grateful heart. When she sat down for her interview with us, she had her list of people she wanted to thank written out!! ❤️😭 She also did her own “shout out” to get her name out there for a job opportunity!! AHHH…the drive!! SO…if anyone is looking for an amazing new employee, let us know!!! ❤️

Let’s get to know Abby!

❤️Where you went to college:

I graduated from northeastern state university

❤️What was your biggest dream when you were little?

Actress and singer

❤️What is your biggest dream now?

To own my own business

❤️What is your favorite song to dance to?

Good as hell- Lizzo

❤️ If you could describe yourself with ONE WORD what would it be?

Adventurous

❤️ What did you love most about college?

That I was still a hawk and open mic nights!

❤️ What is your favorite thing or quality about yourself that you love the most?

My favorite quality about myself is working hard because I am always the person they go to when things get tough.

❤️ What makes your heart the happiest?

Watching any videos that have Jeremy Jordan.

❤️ What are you most proud of?

I am the most proud of graduating from college because during my sophomore year in college I was hit by a car since that happened I was the one to keep on going and I never gave up on the ways that I wanted to accomplish my goals and when things did not turn out what they are supposed to be it was tough but I kept going and I managed to finish college.

❤️ How do you inspire others to keep dreaming big?

I want to inspire these young minds that anything is possible when you dream big. If you wanted to own your business for example I believe that you can do anything as long as you put your minds to it. Some people think that you are not capable of doing any of these things and I do know that you are able to change their minds. Do you want to prove them wrong? Let’s show the world that you are able to do great things. I encourage people with disabilities to dream big.

KEEP DREAMING and rockin’ it along the way, Abby! We are SO PROUD of you!! ❤️
