“The doctor that gave us the diagnosis said our baby would never be able to dress or feed herself, so when I heard about Ruby’s Rainbow I was SHOCKED! I didn’t know our children could go to college!”
This is a HUGE part of our mission and one of the reasons why I share so much about our recipients, Ruby and just how amazing and capable people with Down syndrome are. When Ruby was first born, these were the types of faces and stories I needed to see to give me hope…but I couldn’t find them. And now…it’s amazing to me to know that we have had an impact on hearts from ALL corners of the globe. Jordan Grace is DEFINITELY rockin’ it from Canada…but we also have supporters from over 25 countries and I get messages from people all over the world that I would have never been able to connect with had it not been for that magical lil’ extra chromosome that brings us together! It is like a built in support system…I think of it as having a VERY LARGE extended family
