One part about this journey I love so much is how we all come together and help the community in different ways, and a lot of it is inspired by our loved ones rockin’ that extra chromosome! The Brett Boyer Foundation is busy raising awareness for Congenital Heart Disease, helping fund research for advance treatments and spreading the love that their daughter Brett filled their hearts with. They sponsored a scholarship in memory and honor of sweet Brett this year and it is such an honor for US to have their love and support!!
Ellen (Brett’s mom) said, “What Ruby’s Rainbow is for us is they are absolutely making things happen for adults with Down syndrome to go to college, but what they also do is offer hope to new parents getting a diagnosis to never set limits on their kid.”
It takes a village, y’all. So glad we have such a fierce one!!!
