Oh my heart, you guys. This family, sweet Walt, and the love he showed the world and continues to show us through his memory is such an amazing force. I am so incredibly honored that Ruby’s Rainbow could be a source or hope for them and their continued strength and light shines on.
“I wanted more than anything to give my Walt hope and a future. I wanted more than anything for him to be healthy and happy. I wanted more than anything for him to be able to go to college. I wanted more than anything for our Walt to be independent and have self-worth.”
Ruby’s Rainbow is so much more for me than just granting college scholarships. It’s bringing hope, shining light on a different future for people with Down syndrome, showing the world their capabilities and just how much awesome they bring it. I started Ruby’s Rainbow because I wanted the world to see what I saw in my daughter every single day…and help people like her be the best they could be. But what I didn’t expect was the comfort and hope it brought to other families…and I feel so honored to be able to help in that way too.
