Rockin’ Recipient Rion’s secret to doing well in college!

How many of you googled “Down syndrome” after you got the diagnosis? “Google this, google that…that was probably not a very good thing to do in the beginning because it’s nothing like what you read.”
Rion graduated the Clemson LIFE Program and has been livin’ his best life ever since, but his mom still says, “There are so many misconceptions about what Down syndrome is. People have these archaic ideas of what they can do and what they should be able to do.”
We hope that by sharing these stories with the world that we can raise those expectations for the next generation and beyond. My hope is next time someone “googles” Down syndrome, instead of finding outdated information, they find Ruby’s Rainbow…and all these amazing and capable faces –just like Rion- who are out there living their lives and breaking down barriers!!
