Rachel Handlin’s story is incredible. As the only person with Down syndrome currently going for her MFA, her dad says the journey to get her there is “not for the faint of heart….but worth every battle scar.”
He also said, “We decided the first week of her life that we were going to make it our job to get as many obstacles out of her way as we could and to give her as many tools as we could to help her find who she is and maximize what she’s got.”
