“I am more than Down syndrome. It’s a part of me, but it’s not who I am.”❤️
When Ben said this, it got me good. 😭 All I have ever wanted for my own daughter is to feel valued and loved for exactly who she is. I want people to see past her disability and stereotypes and have high expectations and BELIEVE that she CAN. I want her to have a life filled with opportunity and possibility.
Because Ruby and Ben are definitely MORE than just Down syndrome. ❤️They are capable and WORTHY humans who deserve to be loved and accepted exactly as they are. Because like Ben said:
“Without love, we don’t have anything.” ❤️
