It is amazing to me what people with Down syndrome can accomplish when given the opportunity. Today, Mikayla is on Good Day New York in the morning, and later this afternoon is speaking at the UN talking about the capabilities of people with Down syndrome and what she has been able to achieve. Her dad told me he could have never imagined that first day he held her in his arms, that she would one day be moving off to college, chasing her own passions and dreams. It gets me so excited wondering what my own Ruby will accomplish in her lifetime!!
