I kind of feel this way about people with Down syndrome…that most people don’t see all the MAGIC they bring into this world and into our lives. The unexpected hug, smile or laugh they bring at any given moment at any given day. And usually at JUST the right time you need it.
Marissa is one of the only onset production assistants with Down syndrome working in Hollywood and has been working for some major studios for the last 6 years. I LOVE how emotional our longtime video producer Michele got when talking about the impact Marissa had on her. “I didn’t see a recipient today…I saw a colleague of mine.”
I think the more we open our eyes and heart to the possibilities and raise our expectations of people with Down syndrome and continue to DREAM BIG alongside them the better this world will be.
