Nancy Goodfellow
Hi! I’m Nancy and I live in Naperville, IL with my husband, three kids, and two crazy cats. I was thrust into the world of Down syndrome 21 weeks into my first pregnancy. We learned that we were having a baby girl, and that she would have Down syndrome and a major heart defect. That news changed our lives forever… and we will be forever grateful! This life with our daughter Lily is better than any we could have imagined! Lily has led us to amazing people who do amazing things, and has made me a better person and a better mother.
Lily is now 20 and attends both her transition program and our local community college. Her dream is to work in sports media as a sideline reporter for ESPN and Special Olympics. And she’s well on her way to achieving her dream! Not only does she work for the college newspaper conducting Athlete of the Week interviews, she was selected and trained by Special Olympics and Xbox to be a “shoutcaster” for esports.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting Ruby’s Rainbow so that Lily and others like her can go on to have the educational and life experiences that they so deserve!
