Carly Jackson

My name is Carly! I am a first-grade teacher, Coast Guard (military) wife, and dog mom! I am passionate about inclusion both in and out of the classroom. I believe in the power of our differences and love the impact Ruby’s Rainbow is making. As a teacher, I try to instill in my first-grade students the value in being an includer. We can’t wait to celebrate Down syndrome awareness day on 3/21 at our school!

My cousin, Matthew, received the Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship a few years ago. He is now a businessman thanks to his studies in college and the wonderful scholarship from Ruby’s Rainbow. Matthew is my younger (by one month and 8 days – this is important) cousin and has always been more like my brother! He proves daily that there truly “ain’t nothin’ down about it!”
