Brianna Collins

My name is Brianna Collins and I live in Seattle, WA with my husband, Matt and our three kiddos – Milo (10), Mabel (8), & Harriet (5). When we found out prenatally that Harriet was likely to have Down syndrome, we knew very little about what our life would look like once she joined us. One thing we did know is that she was already a treasured one of our own. Before she even took her first breath, she was loved beyond measure and worthy of the most rich life we possibly give her, full of joy, boundless love, and wonder. When she was born, we were blown away by the magnitude of the gift we had received by her joining our family, and what an amazing opportunity we have to share the message of the importance of inclusion for all.

As we have watched her grow, she has had to work twice as hard to earn every step, every word, every skill. And you know what? That extra effort required hasn’t stopped her yet, and we’re pretty sure it never will. Her dreams are our dreams, and we will do whatever we can to make them happen.

Our hope in being involved with amazing organizations like Ruby’s Rainbow is that we can do our part to help other’s dreams come true as well. When everyone is included, everyone wins.
