Tiffany Gottlieb is an accomplished pianist (see her video below!) who is passionate about working with children and horses. She studied American Sign Language in high school and really enjoys communicating in sign language with people in the Deaf community. She volunteers her time at Seattle Children’s Hospital and also helps out with caring for the goats, chickens and dogs at a local farm center.  I got this update recently from her mom:

Hi Liz,

See attached a picture I took of Tiff at school. She is growing up so much and learning so many things because of her college experience. For the first time ever in her education, she is excited for classes and striving to get good grades. It’s a competitive side we haven’t seen from her! She takes class piano, as well as other classes as part of the Achieve program at Highline college. The classes focus on career goals and interests. When asked what kind of jobs she’s interested in, she always answers “somewhere where I can help people.”

The best part of this has been the enormous boost to her pride and confidence. She tells everyone and anyone about how she’s a “college student now” and that she’s there because she won a scholarship. It’s a qualitative benefit that is impossible to measure. Thank you!

WOW!!  We are so proud of you Tiffany!!  She will continue her higher educational journey where some of her goals include learning about science, math, reading and writing, computers, English and Spanish. One of her long-term goals is to help doctors care for patients at Washington State’s Overlake Hospital. Keep on rockin’ it, Tiffany!
