Thomas (who goes by Jake) will begin his first year in the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University this fall. In his scholarship application, Jake wrote, “My favorite WWE wrestler is Roman Reigns. He says, ‘I can, I will, believe that.’ I do believe that I can go to college. I believe in me.”
In high school, Jake managed the football team and then played his senior year. He also played on the Unified football team for the Special Olympics and has won numerous honors and distinctions, including being named ABC 33/40 Friday Night Blitz Player of the Week. A hard worker, Jake has held three jobs for the past two years, loading boxes for a church, busing tables at a restaurant and working in a bakery.
Jake also shared with us that “I work hard at everything I do.” That is very clear, and we believe in you, Jake! Keep rockin’ it at Clemson!
