Project Description

“Change is a good thing. Don’t be scared, it’s LIFE!” – Genevieve Blacholwaik

Genevieve is going to the University of Northern Florida and wants to work with kids, cook and “be an owner”. Genevieve was active in school, was in girl scouts and does tae kwan do. Genevieve is very well rounded and active in her community, but really loves acting. Her acting instructor said about her, “I think I’ve learned more from Genna than she has learned from me,” and called her “wildly creative and writes her own songs and screenplays.” When not writing, Genevieve works by maintaining fish tanks and works part time at a local restaurant doing food prep, and works at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute escorting guests and preparing pamphlets.

When asked why she took her birthday money to buy school supplies for homeless kids, Genna said “because I care.”
