Emily will begin her college career this fall as an Aggies Elevated student at Utah State University, where she plans to take child development classes. Her five-year goal is to become a full-time teacher’s aide.

An avid performer, Emily was a varsity cheerleader in high school as well as a member of the drama club and choir ensemble. She graduated on the honor roll with a 3.5 GPA, and received an Outstanding Achievement award. She also spoke at her high school graduation ceremony!

In her scholarship application, Emily wrote about her successful push in school to be placed in General Education rather than Life Skills classes. “I’m not afraid to try hard things,” she wrote. “My mom raised me to be independent and responsible. She believed I could do anything… I tried my hardest to show people what I’ve got!”

We believe in you, Emily! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish in college!
