Christopher Ballard is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Brian Dodd Scholarship Award recipient, and he will be attending Southeastern Louisiana University. Christopher loves to dance, sing karaoke and play baseball, and he is active in his church as well as with Boy Scouts and Special Olympics. He has won medals in swimming as well as powerlifting, and his favorite sport is bowling. He works at a local grocery store and loves attending a weekly cooking class with friends.
Christopher’s college dreams include becoming the mascot at SLU, and his post-college goals include dancing in Hawaii, meeting Gaston at Disney World, working as Mickey Mouse’s assistant on a Disney cruise, and volunteering in a nursing home “to help the old people with what they want.” You’ve got a heart of gold, Christopher — keep on rockin’ it at SLU!
