Brittany Kennedy is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient who is set to begin her third year at Clemson University in the ClemsonLIFE program, where she studies Independent Living. She will be living off-campus this year in the U Center with three other ClemsonLIFE students, and will be working at a pharmacy. Brittany is active on campus with the Clemson Football cheerleaders, is a member of the swim team, and also works at Walgreens. Since her freshman year at Clemson, she has learned how to use a budget as well as how to ride the bus to work and use Uber for her other transportation needs.

For parents of young adults with Down syndrome, Brittany has this advice: “You will miss your child so much but they are very excited about going to college.” Her goal after graduation is to live independently, so she is happy to be learning about setting goals, making healthy food choices, and making wise decisions. You rock, Brittany!
