Berkeley Nero is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow The Troy Drake Scholarship Award recipient. She will attend the University of Nevada–Reno this fall in the P2I (Path to Independence) program. She loves music and singing, and sings in choirs as well as taking guitar lessons. She also enjoys reading and writing in her journal.
Berkeley intends to study music therapy at UNR. Her dream is to work or volunteer in a children’s hospital “and sing with children who are healing.” Her goal is to live independently and to have a job in something related to music. We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish, Berkeley — you rock!
