Alex Bolden is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Miles Bhatia Scholarship Award recipient. He is entering his final year at George Mason University in the Mason LIFE program. He is active in Best Buddies as well as in the swim club on campus, and he works out with the US Masters at the GMU Aquatic Center. He loves working out and playing sports, and is active with Special Olympics soccer, basketball and swimming. Most of all, he says, “I really like to just hang out with my friends just goofing around or going to sporting events, movies or out to eat.”
Alex served as a Congressional intern in the US House of Representatives for four semesters, and he worked in the US Army–Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. He has lived independently as well as in the dorms on campus, and he commutes via shuttle and rideshare to his work and internship sites. He is looking forward to having a great senior year! Keep on rockin’ it, Alex – we are so proud of you!
