Project Description

Adam is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient who was awarded his first Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship in 2017. He is starting his second year at Saginaw Valley State University this fall, where he is taking classes in business, history and weightlifting. His goal for this year is to live in a dorm on campus, to have the full college experience.

An Eagle Scout and longtime athlete, Adam received The Arc of Midland’s 2018 Tim Bartlett Award for showing strength, resilience and leadership in his community. One of his references wrote that Adam “inspires everyone he meets” and that he “radiates determination and potential.”

In his scholarship application, Adam wrote, “My advice to younger people: study hard, be good, listen to your teachers and be nice to everyone.” That is great advice! We’re so proud of you, Adam! Keep on rockin’ it at SVSU!
